"In some ways Jon's '36 is a little tough to define, and we like that. Its liquid profile harks back to the classic, early customs, but you won't find the era's usual hallmarks—the white top, tall grille, flipper caps, etcetera. It's traditional in some regards (if you forget that nothing sat this low in the 1950s), but there's plenty of modern equipment at play. Maybe the best way to sum it up is that it's both familiar and unlike anything we've seen—which is kind of what customs are all about, right?"
